Greetings to All,
I do hope your holiday season was warm and wonderful!
January brings a fresh start to a new year. Like some of you, I typically
review what progress has been made throughout the previous year and how
many of the goals I've set have actually been reached. I'm very pleased
to share with you that most of the goals made for this office at the beginning
of my term for the entire two year period were met in the Kingdom Chatelaine's
Office during 2007. This is just amazing to me! I sincerely thank every
individual who has worked so hard to make many good things happen! The
results have been spectacular!
For those who may wish to know what these original goals were:
a) Create communication venues
b) Appoint Regional deputies
c) Create a structure / framework within office
d) Provide tools and training for local chatelaines
e) Encourage team building and group identification
I also try to evaluate how "effective" the goals achieved have
been and determine any areas needing more attention. I believe a strong
foundation has been laid, but there is always room for further improvement.
My focus for 2008 is to improve effectiveness levels in all the above
areas. For example, I still need a deputy for Region # 5, and would like
to build stronger relationships with all my regional deputies and local
chatelaines over the coming year.
As always, I am extremely interested in receiving input from my local
chatelaines / hospitallers as well as the populace at large. Your suggestions,
comments and ideas are vital and very much appreciated! If you have any
thoughts regarding the areas listed above, any ideas you'd like to see
implemented this year, or concerns you'd like addressed, please contact
me. I am especially interested in any thoughts you may have regarding
Pennsic activities for Newcomers and Chatelaines, classes you may find
helpful this year, or "fun" activities or projects for chatelaines
to engage in together.
In Service,
Lady Rowan L'Crotha
AEthelmearc Kingdom Chatelaine
