June 2007 Kingdom Chatelaine Newsletter:
Greetings to All from Lady Rowan L'Crotha,
This May, as I send in my reports to TRM's and Society, and as we finalize and wrap up the first major goal set in this office....to establish a user friendly chatelaine website...my thoughts are now turning to the future.
My second goal was to establish this yahoo e-list. This too has become a reality. Each time I see a new post, I am encouraged that we are communicating with one another. I hope that soon, as I receive updated Roster information and reports (goal # 3) from Regions 2 and 5, all our local chatelaine officers will be invited to join the list and share ideas or questions freely.
Goal # 4 involves providing training to our local chatelaines and offering classes and tools to help them in fulfilling their office duties. This process began at War Practice when Ellisif and myself offered a "Cyber-Chatelaining Class". I truely appreciate the input that was offered by those that attended. We will be offering it again 2x at Pennsic if you missed out.
If you have ideas for other areas of chatelaining that you would like to see addressed, please let me know. Finally, speaking of Pennsic War, it is time now to solidify any plans we intend to execute. As mentioned, we are offering class training in cyber-chatelaining. In the past, there have been Kingdom Chatelaine meetings scheduled. I will continue this tradition and post the date and time here and on the website. These two items will be a Pennsic reality. Other suggestions & activities have also been proposed, but no action has yet been taken on these ideas. Ex: Newcomer Bus Tours. Newcomer's Point (near Cooper's store) has been dissolved this year and only Information Point will be represented. This offers us an opportunity to try new things. Now would be a great time to make changes!
