Greetings Chatelaines, Castellans, and Hospitalers!

Thank you for accessing this website. We continue striving to meet the needs of our Chatelaine Officers by offering tools and information relating to the "business" of chatelaining. To that end, we've added new material to the website this Fall and plan to add more in the next few months. Please visit back often and tell others about us!

The first new creation for our office is an online Quarterly Report Form for local officers! Just find the test report form at: http://www.aethelmearc.org/chatelainreport/. The report will be automatically directed to your Regional Deputy. (In the case of Region # 5, the reports will come directly to me at Kingdom until a regional deputy is appointed.) This should make reporting a snap! However, Regional Deputies will still need to send me a "summary report". Remember, I need your quarterly reports to invite you to join the AE chat officer e-list if you are not already on it and also to keep the website chatelaine roster information updated, current, with active links to your local group website or chatelaine officer.

The second new addition is on-line chatelaine training class material entitled "Chat 101". This is especially great material if you are a brand new chatelaine, but even us "old hands" will find some terrific information including "resource management" tips. There is a lot of excellent content in this course, so I do urge you to take your time working through it. You may veiw the course as a "guest" and need not create a login account to access the material. You will find this by clicking here (this will take you our policy section). Many thanks to Fru Ellisiff of Endless Hills for developing this training material!

In addition, there are two valuable new articles posted to our site. The first is "Why is Reporting Important?" also by Fru Ellisiff. This article not only underscores the importance of quarterly reporting but also provides time saving tips and explains how the information gets used at higher levels. You can find this article here. The second article, "Identifying Target Populations" by Syr Kyppen Kirkcaldy provides insight for recruitment / demo purposes. Syr Kyppen's article was published in TI, recently distributed through Society channels, and will also be in MidRealm's (Nov) Kingdom Newsletter. Sir Kyppyn's article can be found here.I highly recommend reading both!

We have updated the website roster to reflect any known changes in local officers and this quarter's reporting status. A new Regional Deputy has been appointed for Region # 2, Lord Bovi of Steltonwald. Please check the "Office News" Section and "Monthly Happenings" to learn what's been happening at various locations and "hot spots" around the Kingdom in September and October. We are getting some wonderful newcomer news from Regions 2 and 4 right now!

Finally, our Fall Focus has been "Growing a Group". I've been working on compiling a "complete package" of demo related materials that can be downloaded from the website. This is a somewhat daunting task as it involves sorting through many materials to decide which are most "user friendly" and appropriate. It is my hope that the end result will be available by the end of the year and provide "essentials" that everyone can use when the Spring demo / event season begins. However, I am extremely interested in any suggestions you may have, any materials you may want to see included, or any flaws you may perceive once we have the package available. Please feel free to email me with your comments at any time during this process.

In Service,

Lady Rowan L'Crotha
