Documentation of changes for 1/27/07 for AE-Chat site on dracowolf
1. recieved request from Lady Rowan forwarded from Society Chatelaine, article about demo policies.created two new pages, newspage.html and saved over newsletter.html baseline.  Newsletter file will serve as index page for new and newsletter.  newspage will serve as archive for current news from the main index.html file and the newsletter.html file.  Created a list on newspage to format the archived news articles, pasted article in added breaks and links, used anchor to name it "demopolicy".  Created links on index.html and newsletter.html for article, using anchor name to zap to acticle beginning.  Also created list on newsletter.html to contain current chatelaine newsbits.  

2. moved media press kit files to main structure.  Added new link to main index page for a new "downloads" page. Added same link to Chatelaine section index page and to Chatelaines-subpage.dwt page, so it would filter onto all sub-pages. Created downloads.html page.  Created list on page for links to file download pages.  Created new page for download of file of the Press Kit, called presskit.html.  Stole HTML formatting from BEH Seneschal's page for the press kit. fixed links in tables to go back to the press kit files in teh AE-chat structure (which I copied over to remote and local, because of issues with dreamweaver not picking up changes to the remote site from FTP sessions).  Also saved a copy of presskit page as a template (Chatelainedownloads.dwt) for multiple file download pages (like the presskit.html page)

3.Copied demo polices from sca.org. Made it into a word doc.  Copied it into a new folder on structure, downloadfiles.  named doc file, demopolicy.doc.  Made direct link to this download from downloads page.  Added comments to download.html page, so that user knows what clicking each link will do.

4.  Detected problem with navigation bar on Chat. sub-pages.  Links will not filter through..may have to change each pages navigation bar individually...
Ok, ended up deleting page by page in the Chatelaines folder, all the Upper_nav contents.  Added a new table into column 2 in Chatelaine-mainsub.dwt file, which now serves as the new navigation bar, and now filters through all sub-pages connected to it or to Chatelaine-sub.dwt.

5. Began creating resources of Newcomer use section, as part ofthe Chatelaine site.  This is for handouts, classes, media, related to recruiting, and tips and advice.  Saved a new version of Chatelaine_mainsub.dwt as Newcomers_mainsub.dwt.  Changed links in naviagation bar to reflect new files in Newcomers folder. Saved new version of index.html file based off of new Newcomer template.  

6. Ended up re-vapming site structure a bit.  Created a new index page for the site, with links to the chatelaine section and the newcomer's section.  Had to change around some of the linkage for the chatelaine side, and deleted Chatelaines/index.html.  Replaced it with ae-chat/chatmain.html.  

7. Renamed "newcomers" folder to "recruiting", so that when we are ready to build the newcomers section it can be named appropriately.  Filled in new pages in the recruiting folder for links off the chatmain.html page.  No content, but links based on ideas.  Tested links to reflect the structural changes made to the site.

8. created documentation folder and first file in AE-Chat structure, so that we will have an idea of what was changed when.

9. Recreated the newcomers folder, to allow for the new comer resources to begin to be built.
